Jason Fried @ Web 2.0 Expo

Last week was the Web 2.0 conference. Even though I had an Expo pass, I missed the whole thing.

Luckily, Whitney Hess was twittering the week and was gracious enough to transcribe her tweets to her blog, “Pleasure and Pain”.

One of the talks I wanted to check out was Jason Fried, co-founder of 37 Signals

A few choice quotes from Whitney’s Twitter feed:

  • “Interruption is the enemy of productivity”
  • “A fragmented day is not a productive day”
  • “Your competitors will be chasing the next best thing. Focus on your core and you’ll be better off.”

Always innovating, Richie Hawtin talks about his latest live performance setup. Great to here him talk about improving his efficiency by letting the computer simplify some of the tasks so he can get more accomplished during his sets. Thanks to CJN for the tip.
